This set of 3 demitasse cups by Minton was produced in the year 1866; Minton marked each piece with a particular stamp indicating year of production, and in 1878 Minton began marking their pieces as "Mintons" instead of simply the singular "Minton". See the diagram regarding year impressed marks. The decoration is 24 karat gold.

These particular cups were sold sometime around the 1980s at a now defunct thrift store in Arlington, Virginia called Petticoat Lane. Given its proximity to the DC area, it's fair to say they could have quite an interesting history.
